Qureight appoints Dr Steven Bishop as Chief Data Officer

Cambridge, UK, Techbio company Qureight has appointed Dr Steven Bishop to the role of Chief Data Officer (CDO). This significant cornerstone addition to the senior leadership team further evidences Qureight’s commitment to scientific rigour and data quality.

Dr Bishop, who brings extensive experience of solving healthcare challenges with machine learning and data science, is now responsible for ensuring that Qureight’s AI and imaging biomarker models are trained on the best quality data. He will also take charge of maintaining and extending Qureight’s global network of data relationships, which spans NHS Trusts, hospital groups, contract research organisations and industry.

Dr Bishop is a Cambridge University trained computer scientist and a medical doctor, specialising in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine as an Academic Clinical Fellow and Speciality Registrar at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. His former leadership roles include a stint as Director of Clinical, Regulatory and AI at digital physiotherapy clinic Flok Health and several years heading up the data analytics and AI strategy at leading medical device company CMR Surgical.

Qureight’s digital infrastructure houses and curates multiple types of medical data for powerful analysis and biomarker development. The company has ongoing strategic collaborations and research partnerships with some of the most well-known healthcare, research and pharmaceutical companies in the world, including AstraZeneca, Vicore Pharma, and several NHS Trusts.

In April, Qureight announced a $8.5m Series A raise to accelerate the development of their AI-driven product portfolio and expand into new diseases including lung cancer.
